ELP blog 3

Part 1
(Update) I started to draw the grass as just sideways shading. I traced over the most important parts of the sketch with ink.
Part 2
This project introduced ink to me and I had never used ink before. I started to fill in the mouth with the ink and it was tearing the paper.
Part 3
I coated the ink in the mouth with black acrylic paint which added some thickness. Doing that and seeing it look good I added some to the moon.
Part 4
This finalizes my project. I feel like I could have done the ink better.

Elp blog 2

Part 1
(Update) I started to draw a "forest" in the background which started with a moon, then trees. I want to do more trees in the background.

Part 2
I don't really know how to do draw landscape grass. I also want to add some kind of scary easter egg but I don't know where to put it.

Part 3
I just did sideways lines for grass all the way through. I can not tell you where the easter egg is.

Part 4
This concludes my Stephen Gammel 2 post. I plan on doing the sky and ink next.

Stephen Gammel Scary Sketch

Part 1
(Update) I started to draw a sketch of a witch, while I drew her face it did not come out like I wanted it to, so I decided not to erase all that work and create something different. As I went on it started to look more like a monster.

Part 2 m
I ran into two big problems, one of being the charcoal eyes are a way to dark. The second being that the arms I was drawing were two big and I haven't had much experience with sketching arms.

Part 3
I started to smear the charcoal with a tissue, which worked a little. Then I used the eraser to gently earsas the edges the make the charcoal not look that bad. I also just put the arms out like a scarecrow.

Part 4
This concludes this Stephen Gammel post. I plan to start doing a forest background next.
